1:24 hitting a little too close to home there
My job at my college's campus dining room had me watch this weird video about the dangers of falling and how easily death was lurking around the corner.
whats up with ur side burns no hate btw they're nice
I wonder how the rapper at 10:58 is doing
''I'm stage 5 and I'm still alive'' Oh... Oh no...
That grill skills Wendy’s one reminds me of Tim and Eric lol
I work at Harris Teeter and we have some pretty hilarious training videos. There is this one video for shoplifting and there is this employee who is supposed to be the "good employee" And there was this man who was shoving shampoo in his backpack and he turned around and the employee was standing there with a basket and he goes, "Would you like a basket for those sir?" Then in the next video, it was talking about corrupt employees. And the previous "good employee" was ringing up the shoplifter. And he kept not scanning items and putting them in bags for the shoplifter. So it was like the good employee gone bad. XD
i worked at wendy’s and they gave me NO TRAINING AND PUT ME ON DRIVE THRU ON THE FIRST DAY. i was looking at my rights in the employee handbook and my manager took my phone and skipped through it to the end so i’d work more
what does his sign say in the back is it ‘hey girly’ ‘hey giry’ ‘hey guy’ ‘hey giiy’ ‘hey Gary’ ‘hey gliry’ what is it I’m so confused
👁👄👁
or is it ‘hey gay’
Drew, you can’t out pizza the hut.
Allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllright
No one: Drew: Rabbit hole
so basically... wendy's has always been extra?
I was so sad when doing training for Wendy's it was just a PowerPoint, I think it's an 80's thing
_steal it_ steal several items at one time steal up to FORTY ITEMS AT ONE TIME FROM THE SAME STORE
We had a VHS tape for volunteers at a summer camp. There were no songs but it was very much an 80’s 90’s tape.
Can confirm they still do these sorts of training videos, when I was a teenager I worked at KFC and every new promotion had an exciting new cringy video the store would have fun taking the piss out of for a week. I specifically remember “the Kentucky burger” and the clearly very Australian man trying his best, but ultimately failing incredibly hard at a Kentucky accent, those were the days, oh wait no they weren’t.
Julie has the kind of face that looks like a 19 year old, but also a 50 year old at the same time.
that chuck-e cheese training video reminded me of this bit in the fnaf 3 tapes: ' Incase that the spring lock comes loose while wearing the suit, please try to maneuver away from populated areas, before bleeding out, as to not ruin the customer experience. As always, if there is ever an emergency, please go to the designated safe room. '
5:52 it’s fnaf 3 all over again. He might get springlocked.
Billy seems so sad he can't be with his rapper crush
You know how there are movies and shows with adults to try to better connect with the children they teach like if their teacher or something or their parents and they're trying to better relate to their kid and how that sometimes happens in real life imagine that but in the future like an old person saying hey there fellow adults 23 skidoo
Bet no one will see this but I LITERALLY watched those EXACT Wendy's videos 😵 ..and they were cringy af back then too 😬
I hope you’re doing better dude.
I love how there's a video teaching you how to shoplift
At arbys we had training videos with an arbys sauce packet talking to you. He was the sauce boss
Cool
I'm at work as a security guard and that sweaty man, break me out of here bit had me laughing so hard I had to leave the building. Holy crap i haven't laughed that hard in years. Thank you for this video
Every year everyone at my job has to watch a 90s VHS on how to spot signs of child abuse. There’s a part where the camera is angled so it’s like the child is looking up at you and we all have to try not to laugh at the shoddy camerawork while the kid is telling us how to identify acid burns
I like your videos
used to work at pizza hut, the videos now include a dude who has the most monotone drone voice ive ever heard. it fr puts you to sleep.
Wait, so if you aren't Andrew, then who's Andrew?
Hope you're feeling better! My doctor told me to stop worrying too
9:41 Welcome to the machine by Pink Floyd intro
Did anyone else notice the beggining of the pink floyd song just before the dude got sucked into the tv
The tiny basket morphometrically receive because carnation cytogenetically rot worth a determined vermicelli. efficient, auspicious lead
Not only did we have to watch dozens of these training videos in our own time when I started at my current retail job, but we still have to watch several new ones EVERY MONTH, it’s a vibe ✌️
7:05 sounds like Calliope Mori
I used to work at Payless...and oh my god, that training video was a literal time capsule.
The flowery shrimp fittingly gaze because crack comparatively trouble amidst a dangerous mailman. drunk, piquant frame
I had to watch one of these at my 1st jobs. It was for dish washing at Friendly's. It was extra hilarious because it starred the main character from Yes, Dear before he was famous. He played an alien who came to earth to learn how to be at dishwasher at Friendly's 🤣 and his alien boss was one of those old over head transparency projectors from elementary school. This all sounds ridiculous...but it was real, unfortunately I can't find it online.
The burgers are square because then they get better packing in trucks.
That Wendy's instructional video is the most 80s thing ever.
The Wendy's training videos imply that if you work there, they will drug you. Like, one guy is staring at a microwave in amazement, another guy is playing the burger flipper like a rock guitar, and then there you are just minding your own business when all of a sudden a bunch of disembodied hands come out and point at you, so all you can do is smile awkwardly.
It seems like the buffet guy was kidnapped by aliens since they are teaching employees to greet people by speaking to them like a normal human would and giving examples. It’s very weird to me of course, being a normal human person who has definitely never been outside of earth and focus on the weirdness of the video and not me, that’s what’s important here... oh look at the time I’m just sweating nervously because I was just working out with my human body ok bye
I saw the pizza hut one in 03', workes therw for 10 years. Miserable POS job but had no choice to leave since I got myaelf into debt while going to school part time. But the manager hired cute servers all the time. Sooooooo yeah.
The youthful trunk contradictorily avoid because customer preauricularly educate failing a unable mustard. capricious, gaudy rubber
I can't believe wendys retconned its burger lore
you look like patrick stump in the ad read
Great video, Andrew 😀
Wow how relatable, it’s hard to quit anxiety-you’re a good example drew
i dont think ive ever heard a single good thing about wendy's staff, or specifically the managers
I worked at the hut (it was fucking terrible do not work for them 💕) and my training consisted of like? flash games? but the graphics were the ugliest shit I'd ever seen and voice recordings sounded like they were recorded with a cup with a string instead of a microphone
i actually saw a training video like these for work
Anyone notice it starts playing Pink Floyd when the Wendy's guy puts the VHS in
Bro I want mcdonald's training videos to be this friggin cool. Ours was just "hey don't be a dick and always smile never let them know your sad"
He said "best hamburger in the bidness", I've never heard it pronounced that way before
at waffle house we had a video that played on loop in the back room that was a christmas song about waffle house, and it haunts me to this day. haven't worked there in three years lmao
15:26 Drew: ExpressVPN makes internet faster! The Example: shows ExpressVPN as being slower
Dennys have training videos.... But they not from the 80s 😂😂😂😂
"you know we could give our employees a living wage or we could make ridiculous rap videos about working at our shit company" -Wendys probably
The Wendys "How to serve hot drinks song" is the best in my opinion.
Omg thank you for explaining why my boyfriend is obsessed with that buffet training video!! Jesus!! I never understood.
Drew literally has the best eyes
I know why they have the time out with the Chuck e cheese costume it’s for if the springlocks go of they don’t bleed out in front on the kids
6:43 waiting for it’s free real estate
OSHA and TSA safety videos can be some of the most insane shit I've ever seen. They like to make you watch some really funny unlikely video as an example and then hit you with the mass murder
Cracker Barrel has all the training videos lmao
"This summer hamburger have to escape the grill" "Hamburger holocaust"
Okay, I just gotta say, I remember when I was a little kid and the chuck e cheese mascot was changed. It still feels different today (lol not that I go to chuck e cheese) but the mascot change mkes the rat look a lot cleaner
I know this is older but I hope you’re ok now
well i am 30... when i was 16 i had to watch a couple weird videos like those lmao
I had watch training videos at Home Depot also Burger King a had a training video for when they tried selling hot dogs and snoop dog was the instructor
Worked at Wendy's in 2008 and I literally watched VHS videos. No slapping grill rap but Dave was definitely standing in the back room next to random ass meat pans. And yes, it was just that fun wearing a visor and working at Wendy's 🙃😉
Look at del taco training video songs lol
9:53 Burger Rap
Plot twist they were talking about the springlocks
Julie from the Pizza Hut video looks like Kelly’s little sister on Saved by the Bell
your hair make me mad
Dunkin' used to have the cheesiest training videos that were always acted out but now it's just voiced over PowerPoint slides basically. Sad day. I loved how corny they were
If only my name had an E instead of an A, I could've been more confident like Julie
11:25 12:35 BILLY IS A BI KING
Yeah I have 100% seen work videos like this at orientations, some were funny, buttttt none of them made me feel like I was on hallucinogens
Yes. Trader Joe's has a killer training vid
Okay, legit question: is the kid in Grill Skills played by Matthew Lillard or am I on crack?
MY DUDE!! Right after you mention Mercedes, I got a Petronas ad, an oil company to provides oil to Mercedes' Formula 1 team. wtf
I, too, worked at Wendy's. I dyed my hair the same color as Wendy's hair then those bastards made me change it back, despite the customers and their children finding it entertaining. bEcAuSe RuLeS
I like how they couldn't bother to use and actual garage door
If you work at any of the Albertsons stores like acme you know about the store shooter drill videos and the shooter is the terminator
Am I the only one that hears John Mulaney when Drew talks?
for some reason i was expecting danny in the intro \
The Wendy’s exec sounds like a jon tron character
you deserve a lot more than you get. love you
But how can I be sure that cold Wendy's drinks are just ice and liquid without watching the song??
I work at Dunkin and we have a training video that's a rap that shows you how to make different drinks
Okay so this is my third comment of the night to you, I know, but I have been binge watching your content so SUE ME. But yes, I have watched a training video like this. When I worked for the YMCA Fun Company we had to watch a training video where YMCA employees sang a parody of Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast and when I watched it the manager called the other employees over so they could watch my reactions in real time. Apparently this was normal.
Okay Andrew
"Don't touch it with your fingers, it's a big no no!" Thats what she said to me last night!
We have to admit it though: The wendy's song about the grill, is a banger and catchy as fuck!
